How to take wordpress backup and schedule backup

WordPress is one of the most popular CMS for creating blogs and websites. A large number of blogs are published and updated using wordpress CMS. When you have blog, you also would like to think about it’s security. You never want to loose out of the data for your blog irrespective of any reason weather it is crashing of Server, Hacking or by mistake. So you might want to backup your database, template and plugin for your website. So in this article i will tell you about “How to take wordpress backup and schedule backup”.


So let’s get started without wasting any more time. I experiment lot of plugins as well as product but i liked the “updraftplus” most because of two reasons. Firstly, it basic version is totally free of cost and secondly, it provide lot’s of options for configuring automatic backup of all your files. You can just go ahead and install the plugin in wordpress and configure it accordingly. I am gonna list out step by step instructions on how to install and configure it. If you can do itself than you can skip the following part.


Step by step instructions for installing  and configuring updraftplus are as following :


Step1 : Go to admin page by logging into your website/blog.


Step2 : Click on Plugins  located in the left menu. After that click on Add New on top of your page.


Step3 : Now you will be landed into plugin search page, search for updraftplus and install it.


Step 4 : Now go to Setting > updraftplus Backups > Setting tab. Now fill the form according to your preferences. You can also select any of options from Remote Storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, FTP and many more.


Step 5 : After you are done setting your preferences and Authentication for your selected Remote Storage, click Save Changes. That’s it you have to do, now sit back and relax. Your site is getting backed up with no cost.
